Hi, I’m Mark Olsen. Born and raised in sunny San Diego, California – yeah, I know, total California cliché – but hey, I love the beach. My journey into the world of e-commerce and business marketing wasn’t exactly planned, you know?

I always loved figuring out how things worked – dissecting old electronics as a kid probably foreshadowed this career, haha. I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Economics and a minor in Computer Science, thinking I’d climb the corporate ladder. But those internships? Stifling!

That’s when I discovered the power of online businesses. Seeing small startups explode in growth with the right marketing strategies? That was exciting. So, I dove headfirst into the digital marketing world. I started small, freelancing while crashing on my brother’s couch – good times, good times.

Fast forward a few years, and I’ve had the privilege of working with some amazing companies – from scrappy startups trying to make a dent, to established brands looking to revamp their online presence. I even spent three years as a Senior Marketing Manager at “Innovate Solutions,” leading a team that boosted their online sales by over 200%. (Still proud of that one!).

What I truly believe is this: E-commerce and marketing aren’t just about algorithms and data – though, trust me, I love digging into the numbers! It’s about understanding people. What motivates them? What problems are they trying to solve? It’s about crafting authentic connections. My approach? Practical, data-driven strategies with a heavy dose of humanity.

I’m a Google Analytics certified professional and hold a certification in HubSpot’s Inbound Marketing methodology – credentials I wear proudly but, honestly, real-world results speak louder, right?

When I’m not geeking out over the latest marketing trends, you can find me surfing, hiking the trails around San Diego, or brewing my own (admittedly mediocre) beer. I love being outdoors.
